A Two Week Retreat with KIA NADDERMIER:
Purple Valley, Goa December 5-19th 2026
Yoga Bhāvanā, meaning The Cultivation of Yoga, is an integrative approach to practice that deepens all dimensions of our humanity – body, breath, heart, mind, and relationship. Rather than striving for an endpoint, Yoga Bhāvanā inspires a commitment to the very path of yoga itself, as a Journey of Becoming.
Guided by Kia’s devotion to both Yogic and Buddhist traditions, this retreat centres around Aṣṭāṅga Yoga, Embodiment Practice, Classical Prāṇāyāmas & Kriyās (Kaivalyadham lineage), and the Buddha Dharma. Through these transformative wisdom teachings, we cultivate an understanding of practice as a portal to wholeness, compassion, and a way of being of benefit to the world.
Over the course of our retreat we develop powerful tools across all domains, allowing each practitioner to leave with clear, tangible resources for sustaining a personal practice that extends far beyond the retreat itself.
“Bhāvana or The Art of Cultivation, is not another self-improvement project that places our happiness in some unspecified future. These teachings point us directly to the resources available to us in this moment. We have all we need right here to take the next step, and see meaningful change.” – Kia Naddermier
We will approach these teachings with an inclusive and open mindset, enabling us to inform and inspire our practice regardless of current experience.
This retreat welcomes all interested practitioners and teachers.
Those with an established Pranayama practice in the Kaivalyadham lineage may receive pulse readings and tailored progressions. Everyone will leave with an enriched self-practice of Aṣṭāṅga Yoga, Meditation, Prāṇāyāmas and Kriyās – thoughtfully designed to support ongoing growth and exploration.

To support those in need we are grateful to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships this year: Residential Scholarship (yoga, room and food) and Non-Residential (yoga and food). Everyone is welcome to apply but we particularly encourage those with low income, those part of the BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ community. NB: travel expenses to Goa are not included in the scholarship.
“The Dharma teaches us that each intentional seed we plant blooms in relationship. Nothing grows in isolation.”
Course content and daily schedule
Mornings begin with Buddhist Meditation, cultivating deep awareness and aligning body, breath, heart, and mind. Early in the retreat, Dynamic Master Classes provide expansive new insights and open fresh pathways to explore in the Mysore sessions that follow.
You will also be introduced Kāya Bhāvanā, unique somatic preparatory sequences, offering a powerful ground for your Mysore practice to unfold with integrity, ease and clarity. This will open new dimensions to your personal practice, allowing it to evolve under individualised guidance to further deepen your experience. With a heartfelt commitment to each student’s growth, Kia and her team offer a warm, inclusive, and inspiring space that nurtures creativity, curiosity and personal inquiry.
Afternoons are devoted to the philosophy and practice of traditional Prāṇāyamas in the Kaivalyadham lineage, alongside reflections on Buddha Dharma, Meditation, Satsang, and Principles of Yoga Āsana. These thoughtfully curated sessions develop transformative skills and embodied resources that will continue to nourish and inspire your practice long after the retreat ends.
New students will be mindfully introduced to classical Prāṇāyamas, while those with experience will refine and deepen their understanding. Traditional Kriyās (yogic purification techniques) will be offered to all interested practitioners.
Those with an established Kaivalyadham lineage practice, may receive pulse readings and tailored progressions. Everyone will leave the retreat with a self-practice of Meditation, Pranayama and Kriyas carefully designed to support ongoing growth and exploration.
